We did a little research to determine the most famous Japanese characters of all time (most popular amongst Japanese people).



Every kid (and many adults) in Japan have wished they had a Doraemon to help them with their problems.
Pity Boy always wanted to have a cute fury pet to call his own.
How you feel about Hello Kitty can tell you a lot about yourself.
Tourism is a competitive industry in Japan. If you want people to visit your city, temple or amusement park — you need to have a hyper-cute (kawaii) mascot. With all this cutest going around there was sure to be trouble.
Every Police force in Japan has its own hyper-cute cartoon character.
