Kyoto Station is For Lovers

posted by John Spacey, Japan Talk, February 28, 2012

Kyoto Station is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma*. It's difficult to comprehend the layout of its 238,000 square meters (2.5 million sq feet).

Everything seems to be at odd angles. It almost seems to exist in another dimension.

Kyoto Station has spaces that are difficult to reach. Vast areas that seem empty and forgotten. It's a popular spot for young lovers to sit and talk. The roof of the building has excellent views of the city.
