List of Festivals in Tohoku

Tohoku is the northern region of Japan's main island (Honshu). It consists of six prefectures: Akita, Aomori, Fukushima, Iwate, Miyagi and Yamagata.

Tohoku has a reputation as a remote region of beautiful countryside. There are 100s of festivals in Tohoku each year. Festivals are the lifeblood of quiet communities. A massive festival in Tokyo can pass unnoticed by most residents. In Tohoku, it's common for virtually everyone in an entire prefecture to attend a big festival.

Tara
I am looking for pen pals from other countries. I want to learn about other cultures and meet new friends. My interests are riding motorcycles, kayaking, going to the beach, shopping, traveling, visiting different lighthouses along the coast, hanging out with friends, modeling, photographing just about everything it seems, and making crafts of all kinds. I am especially interested in European countries and am fascinated by castles and other things that we don't really have much of in California. Let's talk. Write me.

Lauren
Hello, I am interested in finding a penpal from Japan. I am into art and currently working on having a comic book published. I am fun - loving and easy to talk to. I am trying to teach myself Japanese and would be happy to help you to learn English! Let's talk and have fun! - Lauren AKA Bunny

I just registered and I have never done anything like this before but I have always thought that it would be fun to have a penpal from another country.

Kassandra
Hi! My name is Kassandra, or just Kass, and I'm just looking for a nice friend to talk to and learn from. You know, a reason to look forward to checking your email! ^.^ I like talking to people about almost anything and I love to laugh with friends. They're definitely the best part about life. Hope to hear from someone soon!

Luca
Hello. :-) My name is Luca, I am from Canada, and I would just love to make a Japanese friend who could help me learn the language. I speak English and Croatian fluently and I speak conversational French so if anyone wishes to learn any of those, you can definatly be my pen pal and I will try my best to teach you. :-) I am new to this site so I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. :-D But I think if you reply to this, I'll get that sent in an e-mail or something? Anyway, I really do love Japanese and the culture intrigues me, so do feel free to reply if you're interested!Love,Lukie <3
