What Japan would be like if hipsters ran it

Shimokitazawa is a great place to walk around (even if you're not a hipster). There are plenty of little shops and restaurants.

Shimokitazawa is a mouth full — locals call it Shimokita. Gaijin sometimes call it Shimo but this sounds strange in Japanese.

There seem to be musicians everywhere in Shimokita. Everyone has an instrument. There are lots of concert houses in the area.

Shimokita is a photographer's dream. Particularly if you like photographing weird and wonderful stuff.
