Why All Japanese People Are Samurai
posted by John Spacey, Japan Talk, November 23, 2011
The Samurai were the Japanese warrior caste who dominated Japanese military power from the 12th to 19th centuries.
At their peak the Samurai represented 10% of the Japanese population.
When you think about it. We all have a father, two grandfathers, four great grandfathers, eight great great grandfathers. When you go back far enough in history it's likely that almost every Japanese person has some Samurai heritage.
Many Japanese people are aware of their Samurai heritage and secretly see themselves as modern Samurai.
