Yosakoi Soran Festival (It's Time to Dance in Sapporo)

posted by Dave, Japan Talk, May 17, 2012

Japanese people tend to enjoy life. An easy way to see this is at one of Japan's many Yosakoi matsuri (dance festivals).

Yosakoi is a summer dance. Nowhere in Japan are they more excited about summer than in Hokkaido (northern Japan). The Sapporo Yosakoi Soran Festival is Japan's biggest traditional dance festival.
