I live in Japan and I seriously think cosplay is more popular in other countries especially Itally!

i whould have to agree with you to some extent but the united states are chaching up fairly fast because manga and anime have become some of the most read and watched things here in the us.

You can definitely count Brazil in this topic. People here are fanatic about anime and cosplay. You can see that in the World Cosplay Summit, we won it 2 times. I´m also a cosplayer, I´m going to an anime fair next week and i´m going to be the Blue Spirit xD

I'm not to sure of where it's most popular, but here where i live, U.S georgia. Not many people here do that, but i hear Mexicans are becoming a lot more cosplaie lately. lol

We're one of the countries the most crazy of manga..so cosplays too ^^

I think,

Well, I'm not sure about Italy or the United States but I live in Canada and I know that everyone I know either wants to or has cosplayed at some point. A few of my friends cosplay every year, at least once. So I know that cosplay is pretty popular in Canada.

I was surprised how popular it was in the Philippines. It really seems to be global. In Japan I see more foreign cosplayers than Japanese :).

Surprisingly, cosplay is very popular in the States. At least, where I live. I was at the mall and I saw two girls walking around in Naruto cosplay. (If I had more willing friends, I'd cosplay in public, too. As it is, I have to wait for Ohayocon ;_; ) Not sure about many other countries, though, but I assume it's fairly big in Japan...

United States. I'm sure of it, I'm a cosplayer and got a fairly good picture of the 'cosplay world'. It's true that Japanese cosplayers do a terrific job. But there are a lot of other cosplayers from other countries who're amazing too!
